Review Health & Safety Procedures in the Workplace Level 3 Award

SAY Consultancy has a successful track record in delivering the above award in Health and Safety. We are approaching the successful accreditation of almost 2000 candidates, and worked as the preferred supplier for the Learning and Skills Council.

The Award is for a person required to review health and safety conditions in workplaces  and sets a benchmark for quality and excellence when carrying out workplace vetting.

This award has evolved over many years, having been rebranded several times but never losing the core values and importance of keeping learners safe when in work experience/employers placements.

The purpose of this award is to ensure that there are policies and procedures in place for a consistent approach to reviewing health and safety and also competent staff to use these documents.

It also ensures that practical application in work environments is reliable, accurate and has been recorded through negotiation and agreement.

Those organisations who have supported, trained and accredited their staff with the award see a positive impact on the relationship with employers and also a more cohesive approach throughout their own organisation.

Training and Support with SAY Consultancy Ltd

We recognise that training budgets are tight and that many organisations have a number of staff who would benefit from this training and support. We have been successfully delivering the Award to a wide variety of organisations to include training providers, schools and colleges.

This offers a cost effective option to gain good practice and benchmarking for safely reviewing work placements and also recognition and accreditation for staff.

All training will be delivered within your organisation so no additional travel costs involved for staff.  The support for this award can be negotiated and agreed to offer the best option for the organisation and the staff.

Assessment Awards

SAY Consultancy has a proven successful track record of working with assessors and verifiers from a wide variety of occupational areas. We have practical working knowledge and experience of both assessment and verification from over 25 years of active involvement in the successful running of NVQ Centre’s.

Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment

This award is for those who assess occupational competence in an individual’s work environment. This qualification has been accredited on to the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) at Level 3

To complete the award you need to:

  • Understanding the principles and practices of assessment
  • Assess occupational competence in the work environment
  • Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement

This  qualification  is  intended  for  those who assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the work environment (for example a workshop, classroom or other training environment). This qualification has been accredited on to the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) at Level 3

To complete the award you need to:

  • Understand the principles and practices of assessment
  • Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding
  • Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement 

This qualification is intended for those who assess both occupational competence in the work environment and vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the workplace (for example a workshop, classroom or other training environment.

To complete the certificate you need to:

  • Understand the principles and practices of assessment
  • Assess occupational competence in the work environment
  • Assess vocational skills, knowledge and understanding
  • In order to achieve the above assessor awards you need to:

have access to candidates who are either assessed against occupational competence in the work environment and/or assessing vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the workplace

have knowledge, understanding, experience and competence yourself to the correct level, of the area that you are going to assess candidates in

Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes

Internal verifiers have direct responsibility and quality control of assessments of the occupational and/or vocational standards or the quality assurance of the assessment process within an assessment centre. It is an important role within the centre and they will have sound working knowledge of assessment and verification principles as defined in the national standards for internal quality assurance and the particular internal verification requirements.

Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice

This qualification is intended for those who maintain the quality of assessment from within an organisation or assessment centre.

To complete the award you need to complete a total of 12 credits from 2 mandatory units.

Understanding the principles and practices of internally assuring the quality of assessment

Internally assure the quality of assessment

Level 4 Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice 

This qualification is intended for those who are part of the internal quality assurance processes and who lead a team of internal quality assurance staff.

To complete the certificate you need to complete a total of 17 credits from 3 mandatory units.

  • Understanding the principles and practices of internally assuring the quality of assessment
  • Internally assure the quality of assessment
  • Plan, allocate and monitor the quality of work in own area of responsibility
